One of the most interesting features of this PLC CPU is its capacity to support what is known as “hot standby redundancy,” which means that the users can set up and configure 2 RX3i CPUs to perform the same function in a given application. This feature gives the GE Fanuc IC695CRU320 RX3i Central Processing Unit a great deal of flexibility, in order to guarantee processor redundancy and minimize downtime for time-critical applications. Two built-in serial communication ports, which are one RS-232 port and one RS-486 port, enable this CPU to integrate into the end user’s control algorithm.
