DieBasis der S900 Komponenten besteht aus einem passiven Modulträger, der für dieMontage in der Warte oder die Feldmontage im passenden Gehäuse geeignet ist.Der passive Modulträger enthält alle Anschlussklemmen für Feldstromkreise,Kommunikation und Stromversorgung. Die Funktionsmodule werdensteckplatzorientiert auf den Modulträger aufgesteckt. Der redundanteModulträger verfügt über jeweils zwei Steckplätze für Netzteile und Buskopplersowie 16 Steckplätze für die unterschiedlichen Funktionsmodule. Die digitalenFunktionsmodule sind bis zu 8-kanalig und die analogen Funktionsmodule bis zu4-kanalig ausgelegt. Bei Verwendung eines redundanten Modulträgers ist derAnschluss von bis zu 128 digitalen oder 64 analogen Kanälen je Station möglich.
