Description

Der Device Type Manager (DTM) hat genaue Kenntnisüber Funktionalität und Parameter der einzelnenFunktionsmodule und des Buskopplers. Neben derModulkonfi guration ist mit dem DTM auch das Forcen(Simulieren) der Ein-/Ausgänge und die Darstellungder Diagnose-Meldungen möglich. Aufgrund derstandardisierten FDT/DTM Schnittstelle ist der DTMleicht in das Engineering-Tool des Prozess- leitsystemszu integrieren. Da der DTM zum Gerät und nicht zumLeitsystem gehört, ist die einmal erlernte Bedienungin jedem Umfeld gleich. Die vollständige Konfi gurationund die Parametrierung werden beim Hochlaufen desBusnetzwerkes bzw. nach Tausch der Hardwareautomatisch in die S900-Stationen geladen, so dassman bei diesem System von einem echten „Plug andPlay“-Verhalten sprechen kann. Konfi gurations- undParameterdaten können über den DTM visualisiertund aktualisiert werden. Die Archivierung erfolgt inder zentralen Datenbank des Engineeringtools. Diesystemweite Datenkonsistenz ist somit sichergestellt.Aufwendungen bei Inbetriebnahme und Fehlersuchewerden reduziert.
