The configuration of the IED is shown in Figure 2.This configuration is used in single breaker arrangements with single or double busbar.Control, measuring and interlocking is fully configured.The following should be noted. The configuration is made with the binary input and binaryoutput boards in the basic delivery. In many cases this is sufficient, in other cases, forexample with full control of all apparatuses included, more IO cards are required. Ourproposal for a full version with control is to use two binary input modules and one binaryoutput moduleOn request, ABB is available to support the re-configuration work, either directly or to dothe design checking.Optional functions and optional IO ordered will not be configured at delivery. It should benoted that the standard only includes one binary input and one binary output module andonly the key functions such as tripping are connected to the outputs in the signal matrixtool.
