The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 is a ControlLogix digital I/O module. In particular, it is an AC digital input module that connects to a ControlLogix chassis and it requires an RTB, removable terminal block, a 1492 IFM, or an interface module, to connect all field-side wiring. It has 8 diagnostic inputs, with 8 points per group. The 1756-IA16 has features that users can configure, namely the ‘change of state’ and ‘input filter times’ settings which can be adjusted by using the RSLogix 5000 software.
