Description


The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB16 module is a digital DC output module for FLEX I/O systems and it supports 16 current sourcing outputs. The minimum, maximum, and nominal on-state voltages are 10 Volts DC, 31.2 Volts DC, and 24 Volts DC. The output current rating with 16 outputs (each rated at 0.5 Amps) is 8 Amps. The minimum on-state current at the output is 1 milliamp per channel and the maximum on-state current is 500 milliamps per channel. The maximum on-state voltage drop is 0.5 Volts DC. The surge current is 2 Amps for 50 milliseconds and it is repeatable every 2 seconds. The maximum off-state leakage current is 0.5 milliamps. The isolation voltage is 50 Volts continuous. The module has been tested at 850 Volts DC for 1 second between the users and the system. There is no isolation between individual channels.


The output signal delay for the 1794-OB16 module is 0.5 milliseconds for off-to-on and it is 1 millisecond for on-to-off. The FlexBus current is 80 milliamps at 5 Volts DC leading to 5.3 Watts of maximum power dissipation at 31.2 Volts DC. The thermal dissipation for the 1794-OB16 module is 18.1 BTU per hour. The maximum off-state voltage is 31.2 Volts DC. The module dimensions are 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 inches. The approximate weight for the 1794-OB16 module is 78 grams. The module supports 16 yellow indicators for field-side status indication. The wiring size depends on the installed terminal base. The module has an open enclosure and it complies with the T3 IEC temperature code. The operating temperature range is from -4 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit
