Bently Nevada 149992-01 3500/33 16-Channel Relay I/O Module for Asset Condition Monitoring 

Application

1.3500 monitors ordered with the multipleapprovals option (-02) are certified to Zone 2standards (including ATEX and North AmericanZones). The Zone 2 standards specify increasedspacing requirements at higher voltages, andthe 3500/33 relays do not meet these spacingrequirements. For this reason, 3500/33 relaysordered with the multiple approvals optionhave historically been limited to a lowervoltage than those ordered with the otherapprovals options. Using higher voltages wouldviolate the hazardous area certificatesassociated with the multiple approvals option.(The North American Division 2 standardsassociated with the CSA-only approvals option(-01) have been de-rated to 30Vrms to complywith 61010-1 type test requirements.) 

2. If the 3500/33 is part of a functional safety(SIL) system, the functional safety certificaterequires the restricted voltage. Higher voltagesare not allowed for functional safety (SIL)systems. 

3. It is possible to connect field wiring to the3500/33 relays such that conductors areexposed to potential human contact. This couldpresent a shock hazard at high voltages.Customers should only use the 3500/33 relaysat voltages up to 30 Vrms. Appropriate safetyprecautions should be taken with respect tothe shock hazard.

When used with a 3500/93 LCD Displaymodule, the 3500/93 will require firmwarerevision P or later.

When used with a 3500/94 VGA Displaymodule, the 3500/94 will require firmwarerevision C or later
