Description
The 1746-OBP16 is a Sixteen (16) channel Discrete Output modulefrom the SLC 500 product family. It provides 24VDC output with integrated fusefor short-circuit protection.
This module occupies single slot of an SLC 500chassis. It is compatible with fixed or modular style hardware. And usesRSLogix 500 Programming software for introducing in the hardware configuration,data table creation, data mapping and setting of the module’s operationparameters.
The 1746-OB32 features an integrated fuse thatprotects the module from channel short-circuit and overload current. TheE-FEUSE LED that is provided in the front panel of the module will illuminateto indicate presence of such condition. Other channels will continue to operateas the electronic protection are individual for each channel.
It is considered a channel shutdown when the errorhas been detected. To allow the channel to recover from the fault condition,the SLC 500 system power must be removed and the actual error must becorrected. Once the actual source of error has been corrected, the system powermay be applied, and the module automatically reset and resumes providingcontrol output. This automatic fault recovery must be taken into considerationas part of the system’s fail-safe operating conditions.
