Description

The DeltaV ControlNetwork is astandardEthernet networkinterconnecting theDeltaV workstationsand the controllers.The ControlNetwork is a dualspeed10/100BaseTnetwork.CAT 5 screened(ScTP) twisted-paircable connectseach node to thehub or switch.

LocalBus that consistsof an internal powerbus on the PowerController Carrier,busses on theassociated I/O interfacecarriers, and connectingcables. The LocalBussupplies power to thecontroller and the I/Osubsystem and providescommunicationsconnections betweencards. System power(12 VDC) can be sharedalong the length of theLocalBus. The length ofthe LocalBus, includingall cabling, cannotexceed 6.5 m (21.3 ft.)as shown in thefollowing figure. Thelength requirement isthe same for verticallymounted systems. 

The DeltaV system scales in both size and functionality.It’s the first fully digital system to offer you a singlearchitecture with full functionality ranging from 8 I/O up to30,000 I/O.
