Description

These low power, low voltage transmitters are bothexplosionproof and intrinsically safe and provide astandard LCD Indicator with on-board pushbuttonsfor configuration and calibration. They provide:  1 to 5 V dc Output Signal  9 V dc Minimum Voltage /3 mA maximum current These transmitters utilize microprocessor-basedcorrection to achieve both excellent accuracy andambient temperature compensation.Modern industrial processes tend to be technicallycomplex and have the potential to inflict seriousharm to persons or property during a mishap. TheIEC 61508 standard defines safety as “freedom fromunacceptable risk.” SIL2 pressure transmitters withHART communication protocol, in conjunction withTriconex Safety Systems, provide integratedsolutions for safety and critical control applications.

The integrated solution is certified as interferencefree from the 4 to 20 mA loop; this guarantees theintegrity of the safety system and the safety of thecontrolled process. The integrated design allowsuninterrupted operation of the safety function, whileallowing access to device level information via HARTcommands. The solution permits interface of devicediagnostics with asset management systems withoutcompromising functional safety. Select Option -S2for a SIL2-certified HART Transmitter. A copy of thecertification is available via Auxiliary Specification(AS) Code CERT-S
