The IC200PBI001 Profibus-DP Network Interface Unit or NIU is a product of GE Fanuc and it belongs to the VersaMax product family. It functions as a slave device on the Profibus-DP network, and it operates as a controller for a set of input and output modules. This module runs off of an externally provided power supply which is directly installed on it. The IC200PBI001 NIU has a network address of 1 to 125 with a 9.6 Kbaud to 12 Mbaud network data rate which is automatically detected. It features an all-out I/O data capacity of 375 bytes with inputs rated at up to 244 bytes or outputs rated at up to 244 bytes. This Network Interface Unit can control up to 64 inputs and outputs at a time.
