Mark VIe Introduction

Mark VIe control cabinets are available in a variety ofapplication-specific configurations for front/rear entrance,top/bottom cable accesses, I/O quantity, and IPclassifications. Each cabinet is assembled and connected toautomated test equipment, which performs a power-on testof the I/O independent of its application. I/O points ofmission-critical functions are tested over their full rangeregardless of whether they are intended to be used orreserved for spare points in an application.

The Mark VIe control family consists of Mark VIe turbine andplant distributed control systems, Mark VIeS safety controllers,EX2100e generator excitation controls, LS2100e staticstarters, and Mark VIe Wind controls. The quality controlprocess for these systems consists of a validation process forthe core hardware and software, and additional validationprocesses for site-specific equipment with its uniquepackaging, networks, and application software.
