Description

Operation of this device is accomplished with either athree-position control switch or by a computer running the appropriatesoftware. For precise installation and safety guidelines, see the productmanual. Ensure that rack power is disconnected before installing. Thethree-position switch must be in the stop position. Connect the memoryexpansion board. The CMOS battery may be inserted into either of the batteryconnection slots. Then insert the device into slot one of the rack. Reconnectpower to the rack. The device is now ready to program.

When using this power supply, users can calculate the powerrequirements specific to their application. To do this, you first need todetermine the total output load by checking the specs listed in the IC693 PLCInstallation and Hardware Manual. This will show the specifications forindividual modules. The total output load should be multiplied by 1.5 todetermine input power value. To calculate the input current requirement,divide the input power by the operating source voltage. As the operatingsource voltage may vary, you should use the lowest measured or estimated inputvoltage to determine the maximum input current. Operators who are making thiscalculation should also allow for start-up surge current requirements andallow a margin of 10-20% for variation.
