Introduction
The 1769- OA16 has power supply distance rating of 8Eight (8) modules and compatible for use with 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4. This module follows the standard mounting supported by the host controller which are direct panel mounting or DIN rail mounting. When terminating signal wires to this module, recommended wire size is 22…14 AWG solid or 22…16 AWG stranded copper wire.
When terminating signals to the 1769-OA16, appropriate wire size to be used is 22-14 AWG solid or 22-16 stranded cable. The entire 1769-OA16 module measures 4.65 x 1.38 x 3.43 inches and weighs around 0.61 pounds. It also has an open-type enclosure and it can be mounted using a DIN rail or panel mount. Configuring and monitoring this module is done via the RSLogix5000 software. The voltage rating of the 1769-OA16 is 100 to 240 Volts AC and its power dissipation is 4.9 W. Its output voltage is 85 to 265 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. The off-state leakage current is a maximum of 2 mA at 132 Volts AC and 2.5 mA at 265 Volts AC, while the on-state current is a maximum of 10 mA. The 1769-OA16 module also has a maximum on-state voltage drop of 1.5 Volts peak at 2 Amps. The maximum current per point and per module varies depending on the temperature. The current per point is 0.25 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 0.5 Amps at 30 degrees Celsius, while the current per module is 2 Amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 4 Amps at 30 degrees Celsius. The surge current of the 1769-OA16 is 5 Amps for 25 milliseconds that is repeatable every 2 seconds. The response delay time of this module is half a cycle for both the ON and OFF states. It has a non-condensing relative humidity of 5 to 95% and maximum heat dissipation of 4.9 W. The isolation voltage is 265 Volts AC for basic insulation and 150 Volts AC for IEC Class 2 reinforced isolation. The 1769-OA16’s operating vibration is 5 G at 10 to 500 Hertz and its relay operating vibration is 2 G. When mounted on a panel, the module has an operating shock of 30 G, a relay operating shock of 7 G, and a non-operating shock of 40 G. When the module is mounted using a DIN rail, the operating shock is 20 G, the relay operating shock is 5 G, and the non-operating shock is 30 G.
