Also every disk will have two square holes on the outercorners of the disk. One indicates that the disk is a highdensity disk. The other is used for write protection. If thewrite protection window is open, than the disk can notbe written to. (Can not save information to the disk).This window should be opened for all system softwaredisks. This way the original information will stayprotected.When the customer receives the system software fortheir system, they should make backup copies of theoriginal disks and use the backup copies on themachines. The originals should then be put in a safeplace and only used as backups. The making of thecopies should be done using an IBM compatible PC. Itis possible to format disks on the robot using the filemanager. However, the easier way to format and copydisks, is with any IBM compatible computer with a highdensity disk drive.
