If Safety Manager detects a fault related to the IO, this may result in the IO togo to the fault reaction state.The fault reaction state is a state used as response to faults arising related toIO.The fault reaction state is user configurable on module level, with exception ofthe communication IO. The following fault reaction states exist:• ‘High’ is a fault reaction state for digital inputs:Upon a detected fault the input is energized, or –in other words, the inputgoes high or becomes ‘1’.• ‘Low’ is a fault reaction state for digital inputs and digital outputs:Upon a detected fault the digital input or output is de-energized, or –in otherwords, the digital input or output goes low or becomes ‘0’.• ‘Top Scale’ is a fault reaction state for analog inputs:Upon a detected fault the input is set to the top scale of the range.• ‘Bottom Scale’ is a fault reaction state for analog inputs:Upon a detected fault the analog input is set to the bottom scale of the range.
