The MVI56E-MNETCR module from Allen-Bradley and Prosoft Technology is an enhanced communications module that is made to be mounted in a remote chassis. The MVI56E-MNETCR communications module is part of the ControlLogix series and it is a member of the MVI56E product line within that series. The MVI56E modules like the MVI56E-MNETCR communications module are made to be backwards-compatible with the older ControlLogix MVI56 series communication modules and their software and systems, which makes it possible to integrate the MVI56E-MNETCR communications module into pre-existing systems as an upgrade. In order to function, the MVI56E-MNETCR communications module needs to be installed with several software and hardware components including a 256-color VGA graphics adapter device with a resolution of at least 800 x 600 pixels, an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processor, at least 128 MB of RAM, 100 MB of free hard disk space, and the RSLogix 5000 programming software.
