The MVI56 HART Multidrop MasterCommunication Module is a ControlLogix backplanecompatible module that allows ControlLogix processorsto interface easily with HART compatible devices.Devices commonly supporting the protocol includepressure, temperature, flow transmitters, as well as othersimilar instruments commonly found in the process (andother) industry.  The MVI56-HART Master Communication Module allowsRockwell Automation ControlLogix I/O compatibleprocessors to easily communicate with HART slavedevices. The MVI56-HART module interfaces up to 15devices on each HART channel with the RockwellAutomation ControlLogix processor. Four channels onthe module support master protocol commands tointerface with slave devices on their own networks. Eachport is individually configurable. Data is exchangedbetween the HART network and the RockwellAutomation ControlLogix processor backplane using theinternal database contained in the module and directcontrol by the controller's ladder logic and pre-defineddata objects (5000 registers maximum).
