BL20 electronic modules are plugged into thepurely passive base modules which are usedfor connection of field devices. Maintenance issignificantly facilitated due to separation of theconnection level from the module electronics.Furthermore flexibility is enhanced becausethe base modules provide a choice of tensionspring or screw connection technology.The electronic modules are completely independent of the type of higher level field busthrough the use of gateways.

ControlEdge PLC supports comprehensive integration betweenControlEdge 900 controllers and compatible devices installed on anEtherNet/IP network. An EtherNet/IP enabled ControlEdge 900controller can communicate with EtherNet/IP compliant devicesconnected on EtherNet/IP networks. Data accessed from EtherNet/IPdevices (reads and writes) can be used for control and indication.
