Overview

The input board INK-2 is used for getting information about external activities,which can be used, for example, to control other outputs. The INK-2 board iscontrolled by the alarm processor board LPK-2, via the address and data busesin the back plane. The board also contains a status register for functionalchecks.The INK-2 board is equipped with 24 opto-isolated inputs for 24 VDC/10 mA.These inputs are divided into six groups, each with four inputs with a commonreturn conductor. 

The DC/DC circuit converts the battery voltage of the back plane to 5 VDC,which is supplied to all logical circuits on the board. Should the voltagedisappear, a signal is activated in the back plane. 

The battery voltage is fused. If the fuse is blown a signal is activated in theback plane. The fuse is accessible on the front panel of the board, and can beused for disconnecting the power. 

The control logic is used for decoding the address bus and for generatingsignals to read/write the status register and read the input buffers. 

The address bus, the data bus and the control signals are buffered beforeentering the board. 

The inputs are divided into six groups, where each group has a common returnconductor. The inputs are protected by transient suppressors. Each input isequipped with an LED that is lit when the input is active. These LEDs are notvisible from the front panel.
