Overview

The output board UTK-2 is used for controlling external relays, e.g. for fansand fire doors. The UTK-2 board is controlled by the alarm processor boardLPK-2, via the address and data buses in the back plane.The UTK-2 board is equipped with 24 opto-isolated outputs for 24 VDC/50mA. The outputs are divided into six groups where each group includes fouroutputs and a common positive conductor.  

The DC/DC circuit converts the battery voltage of the back plane to 5 VDC,which is supplied to all logical circuits on the board. Should the voltagedisappear, a signal is activated in the back-plane. 

The battery voltage is fused. If the fuse is blown a signal is activated in theback-plane. The fuse is accessible on the front panel of the board, and can beused for disconnecting the power. 

On the front panel are two green LEDs for indicating 5V power and normalpolling. 

The address bus, the data bus and the control signals are buffered beforeentering the board. 

The value written to the outputs can be read, to check the function of theboard.  

The output latches also functions as drive circuits for the opto switches. 

sThe outputs are divided into six groups, where each group has a commonpositive conductor. The load is connected between the output and ground.Each output is protected by a varistor and a freewheel diode for inductiveloads.
