Your transmitter has been preconfigured at the factory to the settings shown in Appendix B.Compare your needs to the factory configuration and note the changes to the configuration youmust make.If the transmitter is not connected to a flowtube or IMTSIM, it is necessary to put a jumper wirebetween terminals Coil 1 and Coil 2 and also to provide power to the transmitter.This section describes the procedures to quick start the transmitter from the optional localkeypad/display. Note that after you quick start the transmitter from the local keypad, you shoulduse the fieldbus host to ensure that parameter values associated with the host are changed to agreewith those changed from the local keypad/display. Otherwise, mismatch errors occur when youattempt to place the transmitter into Auto mode.

The Top Level menu displays the following modes – Measurements, Status, Identity, Quick Start(in FoxCom and HART transmitters), Test Mode, and Setup. You can switch from one to anotherin sequence by using the Up/Down arrow keys. To enter the second level menu from a particulartop level screen, press the Right arrow key. To return to the top level from a second level menuitem, press the Left arrow key. The level of the first, second, third, and fourth level menus isindicated by the digit appearing as the first character in Line 1 of the display; a 1 indicates Level 1(Top Level), a 2 indicates Level 2, and a 3 indicates Level 3, etc.The top level menu is shown in Figure 3.
