Overview

The MVI69-GSC Generic ASCII Serial Interface Module is a fast andeasy way to add two fully configurable ASCII communication ports to theCompactLogix / MicroLogix platform without consuming the front port ofthe processor, or using valuable processing time.The MVI69-GSC module is a single-slot, backplane-compatible solutionfor the CompactLogix / MicroLogix platform. This module has twopowerful and fully configurable ASCII communication ports, eachsupporting the sending and receiving of large ASCII character strings.With the implementation of some supporting ladder logic in the processor,the many different devices supporting ASCII communications can beintegrated into the CompactLogix / MicroLogix platform.

Single-slot - 1769 backplane compatible

The module is recognized as an Input/Output module and has access to processor memory for data transfer between processor andmodule 

Ladder Logic is used for data transfer between module memory and processor controller tags. A sample ladder file with AOI isincluded

Configuration data obtained from configuration text file downloaded to module. A sample configuration file is included

Supports CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 LRP Controllers except 1769-QBFC1B, 1769-L16x, and 1769-L18x
